The Undergraduate Research Symposium is an annual event held by the MAS. Undergraduates with an interest in anthropology are invited to present a paper or poster that they are particularly proud of.
This year the Symposium will be held on Tuesday, March 30. Participants presenting papers will be required to prepare and present a 10-15 minute presentation on their research, goals, and results. Poster presenters will be required to set up their poster in the room and be available to answer questions during the designated poster presentation period. The Symposium looks great on a CV and gives you a taste of what it might feel like to participate in a conference — consider it a test run for your shining future in academia!
If you would like to present at the Symposium you are required to submit an abstract for your piece to the MAS. The deadline for first semester papers and posters is January 25. Please email your abstract to email@example.com (not as an attachment).
